1. After watching the above ted talk, describe two ways the presenters were involved in helping others who have experienced a natural disaster. Then tell how you can help your neighbors if a natural disaster was to strike your area where you live.
2. How does time and ability impact one's
ability to help people who what experienced a natural disaster.
1) they helped my making people feel comfortable in disasters and how others can help. i would help my giving the ideas on what to do.

ReplyDelete2. If you don't have time then you won't think about a subject thoroughly and you also need the ability to do what you're aiming for like playing a spor,t you need to have the assets for it.
1.After a disaster, people around the country want to help with donations of money, food and more. But as Caitria points out, after any disaster, 50 percent of all web searches on that disaster happen within just seven days. Meaning that a community has just a week to organize in the thick of survival and clean-up efforts to maximize donations and support.
ReplyDelete2.On the other hand, in circumstances of extreme stress such as during natural disasters like Hurricane Sandy, we hear moving accounts of people going out of their way to help others. Hurricane Sandy has led to a flourish of supportive tweets and Facebook messages directed to people on the East Coast.
1. Two ways that the presenters were involved in helping others who experienced a natural disaster were they started organizing. So they created a hot line for people that need help. An also created a Facebook page to spread the word of them trying to help those in need of it. I could help my area by helping out in a nearby community gathering place so whatever I can to help the people of my community.

ReplyDelete1.)The girls were involved in a tornado so they decided to organize their town by putting together how much supplies they had and informing about the aftermath and how to rehabilitate. If a natural disaster hit my area where i live i would go searching for supplies in destroyed supermarkets and hardware stores.
2.)The timing and ability effects the ability to help people because you have to know when people are paying attention and also you have to try and beat all the other information that gets put out afterwards that takes attention off of yours.

ReplyDeleteIf my neighbor s was in a situation when a natural disaster was cominv from watching this video i will them them that its coming to get prepared start buying food and prepare your house with board etc.
2 time and abilty imapacts on someone that been threw an natural disaster because they are not try to go threw wgat they went threw the ladt tine to they are going to be on point with everything .

ReplyDelete1. Ways the presenters were involved was that the experience changed there live and now they are trying to change the experience. I can help my neighbors by warning them before it happens if they didn't know or help them with underground shelter if they don't have.
2. Time and ability impacts people to help others who experienced a natural disaster because they pity others who are less fourtunate
1a. They involve in helping by being organized. By being organized they made potential time so they can do more. They also involve in helping by helping a community at church creating facebook posts, making calls, and making flyers so that people who lost their shelter had somewhere to go. We can help our neighbor by trying to get them in an area similar so that they are safe.

ReplyDelete1.If I was to help a neighbor in case of a natural disaster I would bring them along with me to shelter. I would help them try to escape.
2. Experience people k ow what to do in times like natural disasters
1. One Way the presenters were involved in helping others who have experienced a natural disaster in their area was by creating their own recovery business from nothing. Another way was by creating Facebook pages to reach out to those in need of help or information regarding where they can go or do about the disaster. The only way I would be able to help my neighbors is by giving them water and And some other resources and making sure that they are not injured.
ReplyDelete2. Time & ability impacts One ability to help people who has experienced a natural disaster by giving them a better knowledge on what to do during critical times during a natural disaster and how to do it and also what to have with you such a water food flashlights clothes etc.
1.) The presenters were involved in helping others who have experienced natural disasters by helping people at a Church by building a recovery machine. They compiled a list of things to do and not to do during a disaster with only 2 labtops. They have also been flying into disaster areas since January setting up disaster software. Finally, they trained people on what to do during, before, and after one. This presentation inspires me for the future to help my neighbors by donating, helping fix their property, and helping children.
ReplyDelete2.) Time and ability helps people who have experienced a disaster because with enough time, they can be trained on methods and practices on what to do to help others and save yourself. Also, the people with the right abilities can set up online software and create safety plans for people. Their ability and the time it takes to get certain abilities and skills will help people survive during a natural disaster.

1*) in a natural disasters a way you could help your neighbor is getting him to safety, feeding them or if injured get the safety kit or call 911. 2*) you could help someone at right ability and timing if you get them when they really need help.
