1. Describe two examples of how natural hazards impact humans? (Be clear if each is considered a social or economic impact)
2. How can humans reduce the negative impacts of natural disasters?
3. Explain one way an earth science literate public is essential in reducing risks from natural hazards?
1. Describe two examples of how natural hazards impact humans? (Be clear if each is considered a social or economic impact)
ReplyDelete- One example on how natural hazards impact humans is that it changes how their lifestyle is. Most people have shelters, invested money in it, because they live in an area that earthquakes happen commonly. Another example is that it causes destruction to cities. Buildings can be destroyed from earthquakes and hurricanes, forest fires could be started by lightning, and floods can cancel your plans for the day. It affects more of a social economy because the government is paying for evacuation.
2. How can humans reduce the negative impacts of natural disasters?
-Humans can invest in shelters and have plenty of food in it in case there is a natural disaster. Humans can find out their evacuation center nearest to them.
3. Explain one way an earth science literate public is essential in reducing risks from natural hazards?
-One way it's essential is because many people may be clueless about what they are about to witness/suffer.
Joshua Thomas
ReplyDeleteNatural hazards can cause the cities population to decrease and make them migrate to other cities.
Humans can reduce the negative impacts of natural disasters by learning the effects and what to do when one occurs.
Earth science informs people about natural disasters.
1.(1) They can cause property damage
ReplyDelete(2) They can risk lives
2. Humans can prepare and avoid areas they have a high risk of natural disasters
3. It can help predict different events and let humans act upon them and prepare for devastation
~Irvin Laurent
ReplyDelete1. They can cause a mass migration or they can change the size of the human population.
2. They can identify and avoiding high risk areas, or by developing warning signs.
3. It leads to promoting community awareness about Natural hazards.
Cyris Rodriguez
ReplyDeleteNatural hazards can effect the size of human population.
Natural hazards can destroy structures and homes of many.
One way humans can reduce the effects of natural disasters is by identifying and avoiding certain geographic areas.
Another is improving construction methods.
One way an earth scince literate public is essential is reducing risks is that it creates awareness for the public, and developing scientifically informed policy's that reduce risks.
Breana Fyffe
ReplyDelete1.Natural hazards change the populations of humans, they change the population and bring in migration. Humans can die to many natural hazards like volcanic eruptions or earthquakes because there isn't much they can do to protect themselves. This is considered social impact.
2. Humans can reduce negative impacts of natural disasters by avoiding high risk locations, develop warning signs and acting accordingly to not frighten others.
3. Earth Science literate public is essential in reducing risks from natural hazards because it promotes awareness of natural hazards and it develops scientific information polices that reduces risk.
It destroys their home, work place, and kill them.
ReplyDeleteimproving construction method were they live.
developing scientifically informed policies that reduce ricks.
Briah Singleton
ReplyDelete1. One example of how natural hazards impact people is it can change the size of human population. This is a social impact because this can either decrease or increase the population in an area.
Another example is it can drive human migration. This can be both a social and economic impact. It's social because migration within humans can cause them to form new lives that adapt to their new homes hence socialization. It's economic because the economy of their new homes will either decrease or increas through this migration.
2. Humans can reduce the negative impacts of natural hazards by identifying and avoiding high risk locations, improving construction methods where they live, developing warning systems and being aware of their behavior when responding to natural hazards.
3. One way an earth science literate public is essential in reducing risks from natural hazards is that it leads to promoting community awareness about the hazards. This makes people more aware of the danger they're in therefore allowing people to prepare faster and more efficiently which reduces many of its negative impacts,
1. Two examples of how natural hazards impact humans are one is that they can change the size of human population, & second is that it could drive human migration.
ReplyDelete2. Humans can reduce the negative impacts of natural disasters by identifying and avoiding high risk locations. Also should develop warning systems.
3. One way an earth science literate public is essential in reducing risks from natural hazards by promoting community awareness about natural hazards.

ReplyDelete1.hazards impact humans live by stoping technology and breaking things example houses, cars etc.
2.They can reduce the negative impacts by going somewhere safe like the basement but if there is a flood u have to build something around your house that water cant get in so u could be able to leave your house when its done.
3.they can reduce it by finding low risk locations that its not gonna happen in that bad.
1. Natural haazards effect humans because most of the time it either kills them or destroys their home.
ReplyDelete2. Humans reduce the negative effect by using less fossil fuels and polluting the air.
3. The scientist can reduce the risk of natural disasters by having preparation for it or creating a certain device to help us avoid the disaster.
Dylan Mcswindle.
ReplyDelete1. Natural disasters impact humans physically and mentally. Natural disasters can destroy homes, neighborhoods, cars, cities and leave many people homeless, injured or de2ad. When a natural disaster happens people can also be impacted mentally where they gain knowledge on what to do in the event of a natural disaster because they have experienced it before.
2.Humans can create things to prevent the natural disasters such as a dam to prevent flooding or building houses on stilts so that it wont get damaged in the event of a flood or hurricane.
3. This is essential because it informs people about what can happen and the effects of a natural hazard but can also inform the public on how to prepare for them or behave in the event of one.
1. Two examples of how natural hazards affect humans is how it "shapes the history of human society." Natural hazards result from natural earth processes. These processes include, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, floods, volcanic eruptions, extreme weather, etc. These natural hazards can mess up people's lives, the population can decrease and it can affect climate changes around the globe (global warming.) Some natural hazards can also damage everything at an economical cost. This means that as populations move into areas close to the coastlines or are already developed, natural hazards are at higher risks. Human migration might also occur.
ReplyDelete2. Although humans cannot help from natural hazards occurring, they can reduce it from happening in several ways. Some examples can be by improving construction methods, avoid high risk locations, and also developing warning systems such as signs that say (volcanic areas/flood area,) etc.
3. The earth science literal public is essential from reducing risks from natural hazards. It promotes community awareness. Community awareness meaning, it shows people how to be prepared when natural disasters occur. It helps from people being vulnerable and gets them in the know of how things work.
Gabriella Semler
ReplyDelete1. Natural hazards make a large social impact, by changing the size the human population and driving human migration. The size of the population would change drastically since natural hazards are so dangerous and hurt people easily. Natural hazards drive the human population to migrate because people would want to live somewhere safe where their lives aren't at risk.
2. Natural disasters are unavoidable because they are so unpredictable, but what can be avoided is complete disaster. They can be avoided by identifying and avoiding high risk locations. Researching the location around you can let you know what exactly can occur while you reside there. Another way of avoiding disaster is improving construction methods so that they can withstand better when a natural disaster occurs.
3. Having an earth science literate public is essential in reducing risks from natural hazards because then more people can tell if an area is at risk for being hit by a natural disaster and will know how to be prepared. They would have more knowledge on what to do before, during, and after a crisis. With knowledge like that many lives could be saved. There could be no drop in population or increase in migration.
Two examples of how natural hazards impact humans are they cause people's homes to be destroyed and can be deadly.
ReplyDeleteHumans can reduce the negative impacts of natural disasters by avoiding high risk locations and developing warning systems.
Earth science literature public helps a community gain an understanding of what they do to contribute to the triggers and try to reduce them.

ReplyDelete1. Natural disasters can change the size of human population (social) and change the drive of migrations (economic)
2. By increasing our understanding and developing scientific nobles that can explain this. We can identify the High risks.
3. We can develop warning systems .
Valor France, Section 3
ReplyDeleteNatural disasters can dramatically effect the human population as well as human migration in extreme cases. Both of these effects natural disasters can have on the human race are social impacts as it would effect the social life on Earth.
Humans can reduce the negative impacts of natural disasters by avoiding "high risk locations" (Big Idea 8: Natural Hazards Affect Humans), improving construction methods to adapt to the most common natural disaster in the area, and warning the people of the city or state that there is a high possibility these natural disaster can occur.
An Earth science literate public is essential as it keeps the people aware of the risk of natural disasters and creates scientific ways to reduce the risks of natural disasters.
Andrew Kearney:
ReplyDelete1.) Natural hazards impact humans by causing mass migrations from where the disaster occurred. They also can kill many people and reduce the size of our population.
2.) Humans can learn when and where natural hazards occur so we can be ready. Using our knowledge, we can produce scientific models explaining hazards related scientific observation. Learning ways to counter these, like warning systems and safe houses, can reduce the negative impact of natural disasters. We can't get rid of them for good, but can take steps to learn more about them.
3.) One way an earth science literate is essential in reducing the risks from natural hazards is by promoting community awareness about these hazards so that people can see them coming and learn what to do.
Antwan Tingman
ReplyDelete1- They can change the size of human population and cause humane migration.
2- Humans can reduce this effect by identifying and avoiding high risk locations
3-One way an earth science literate public is essential in reducing risks from natural hazards is by promote community awareness about natural hazards

ReplyDelete1.The proximity of people to the epicenter of an earthquake or to a coastal margin in a very high, seismicly active region directly influences the scale of impact.
ReplyDelete2.Unless action is taken to reduce the toll of natural disasters, these statistics can only be expected to rise as populations increase and concentrate in vulnerable urban and coastal areas.
3.Earth science literate public is essential in reducing risks from natural hazards because earth science has everything to do with natural hazards especially hurricanes and earthquakes.
1. 2 examples of how natural hazards impact humans is by changing the size of human populations (economic) & by driving human migrations (social).
ReplyDelete2. Humans can reduce the negative impacts of natural disasters by developing warning systems.
3. An earth science literate public is essential in reducing risks from natural causes because of community awareness about natural hazards.
Victoria Lloyd
ReplyDeleteAnd an example of a natural disaster would be a Hurricane . For instance Hurricane Sandy it affected people tremendously many were left without a place to stay , they had no shelter , family members lost loved ones . Another natural disaster would be a blizzard . We experience blizzards in NYC due to the climate . He get heavy snow , it's dangerous to go outside , sometimes the power gets knocked out for days at a time . Sometimes the weather can be so bad that mayor would say to stay inside and if you get caught outside you can get a ticket .
Humans can reduce the negative impacts of natural disasters by doing more research on natural disasters itself . We spend our time investing in other stuff like trends , social Media why not put that same amount of time and effort into research in natural disasters . People know about tornados , tsunamis, forest fires . But do they know what cause them and how they can be prevented ? No .
It's important because people would know what precautions and steps to take when it comes with dealing with natural disasters . It's better to be safe then sorry .
ReplyDelete1. The natural hazard impacts humans in a economic way because it destroys their homes ,business, and kills people when a natural disaster starts .
2. Humans can reduce the negative impacts of natural disasters by engaging in activities that's reduce their impact on natural disasters.
3. The earth science literate public is essential in reducing risks from natural hazards by developing scientific informed policies that reduce risk of natural disasters.
Describe two examples of how natural hazards impact humans? One example is natural hazards that impact humans is there health, Another impact is the products and food
ReplyDelete2. How can humans reduce the negative impacts of natural disasters? Humans can reduce the negative impacts of natural disasters by Gather up all the materials that could help block what ever you don't wanna get messed up buy the alot of back up food.
3. Explain one way an earth science literate public is essential in reducing risks from natural hazards? By giving out more information so people would know about what's I'm there earth .

1.Many geophysical hazards are related; for example, submarine earthquakes can cause tsunamis, and hurricanes can lead to coastal flooding and erosion.
ReplyDelete2.The installation of warning systems in several Caribbean countries has reduced the loss of human life due to hurricanes. Prohibition of permanent settlement in floodplains, enforced by selective insurance coverage, has significantly reduced flood damage in many vulnerable areas.
3.Earth scientists work on challenging problems that face humanity on topics such as climate change and human impacts on Earth. Earth scientists successfully predict hazards to humans and locate and recover natural resources, making possible the flourishing of humans on Earth.
two disasters are hurricanes and tsunami’s. they both are pressure from water hitting land causing distuction. humans can reduce the negative impact from these two disasters by not messing around with the climate. because of climate change it causes rain to come in summer and snow to come in spring. One way science is reducing natural disasters is by studying on how to stop it. there building walls that stops water from coming up.
ReplyDelete#1 natural disasters can have a impact on human population and it can also drive migration
ReplyDelete#2 natural disasters are kinda hard to predict so in a time of one humans should make survival kits and other survival needs and one way humans can reduce these causes of natural disasters is by less pollution contribution meaning less smoking outdoors because that could lead to hot and cold air mixing which creates a tornado
#3earth scientists work on getting data on natural disasters so they can be beneficial to us because if a disaster is occurring they can alarm us with warning.
